Shaykh Abdul Razzak is an accomplished scholar with Ijazat in the Qiraa’at from nine distinguished scholars, including Sh Ameen Zarqaa al-Halabi (Aasim), Dr. Ahmad Hadaad (Ashaab Sila), Sh Misbaah Dasooqi (Ashara Sughra), Sh Yunus Ghilban (Saba from Shatabiya), Dr. Saad Hassnein (Aasim), Sh Umar alMasry(Ashaab Tawasut), Sh Abu Musab (Naafi’, Ibn Kathir, Abu Amr, Abu Jafar), and Sh Alaa Udeen (Ashara Sughra). He is currently reading to Dr. Mubarak al-Maghribi for Warsh and Dr. Rehabi for Aasim. Shaykh AbdulRazzak holds some of the shortest chains of transmission (sanad) in Quranic recitation, with only 28 links between himself and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He has benefitted from a diverse group of scholars from various schools (madaaris) and backgrounds, enriching his understanding and expertise in Quranic sciences.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sharia from the Islamic University of Madinah
  • Master’s degree in Fiqh from the Islamic University of Minnesota
  • PhD candidate in Uloom ul-Quran at the American Open University
  • His notable teachers include Shaykh Haamid Akram, Shaykh Abdullah Masood, Shaykh Abdullah Shinqeeti, Shaykh Ali Hani, Shaykh Main al-Qudah, and Dr. Salaah Abul Haaj, may Allah preserve them all.

Experience

  • Extensive background in both Fiqh and Uloom ul-Quran to provide a comprehensive understanding of Quranic recitation’s legal and scholarly dimensions.
  • Writing Thesis focusing on the “Fiqh of Quran Recitation,”
  • Licensed mufti, authorized to issue fatwas by the esteemed scholar Dr. Shaykh Saa’id Bakdaash.
