Dr. Muhammad Akbar Khan is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Shariah & Law, International Islamic University, Islamabad. Dr. Akbar Khan holds Ph.D. (Islamic Law & Jurisprudence), LL.M. and LL.B. (Hons.) Shariah & Law degrees from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr. Akbar Khan has also attended the School of Law, University of Manchester, United Kingdom and Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, Canada as a visiting professor. Dr. Akbar Khan has research interests in areas of Law & Religion, Comparative Law, Legal & Political Thought, Legal Systems, Contemporary Issues in Shariah & Law, Islamic Finance, Islamic Commercial Law, Islamic Family Laws, Legal Education, Law Reforms, etc. Dr. Akbar Khan has published in well recognized research journals. Dr. Akbar Khan has also supervised numerous Ph.D. and LL.M. thesis and served as an external evaluator of various universities.
