DR. NOHA ELARIEF
Adjunct Faculty
Dr. Noha Elarief brings a mix of academic and industry experience in Computer Science to Guidance College. An alum of Oregon State University, Dr. Elarief, continued her doctoral work in a post-doctoral study developing a series of error detecting and error correcting codes including a patented error correcting code for Flash Memories achieving the channel capacity. In the private sector, Dr. Elarief has held multiple senior to technical lead Software Engineering positions at both HP and Invitae. In addition to her technical studies, Dr. Noha completed memorization of the Qur’an obtaining her Ijazah in Qirat Hafs.
Additionally, Dr. Noha is very supportive of her community, when not working, she volunteers on the weekends as a Quran teacher for children and participates in coding programs to inspire youth to learn programming.
